Mount Ida is known for being the Quartz Crystal Capitol of the world and  those of you that love nature & rock hounding would enjoy visiting our local crystal mines and meeting some of the most warm, hospitable  folks anywhere .

Lake Ouachita,  is nestled among the mountains & hills and is surrounded with   natural beauty that is great for fishing, boating,swimming, sight- seeing and much more.

The lakes have several ports of entry, they all have something of interest to offer all those that visit Mount Ida, near by Caddo River, and  Lake Ouachita .

As many small towns do, we have Music on the court house lawn every Saturday night, in season, that brings folks togeather and hopefully puts a smile on their faces and a song in the Heart!
